New England, made up of the six diverse states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island is one of the most historic and culturally rich regions of the USA. Also the site of the earliest English settlements in the ‘New World.

The talk takes in the 1620 landing of the Pilgrim Fathers, Boston (and the famous Tea Party of 1773), Martha’s Vineyard, the Kennedy connection, a trip on the Mt Washington Cog Railroad and stunning autumn foliage in the White Mountains.
